  • New Hire Registry: Federal and State laws require the reporting of all new hires (or rehires) within 20 days. Required information includes the employee's name, address, occupation, and social security number, as well as the employer's name, address, and federal identification number.
  • Separation Notice: Must be filed within 72 hours of a worker leaving your employ, either voluntarily or after being fired with cause, to indicate that they are ineligible for unemployment benefits. Claim information must also be provided to the employee.
  • Status Report: This form is used to apply for an unemployment insurance account number for your business.

Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services

  • Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification): "All U.S. employers are responsible for completion and retention of Form I-9 for each individual they hire for employment in the United States. This includes citizens and noncitizens. On the form, the employer must verify the employment eligibility and identity documents presented by the employee and record the document information on the Form I-9."
